Indy Car Race

I am going to the Indy Car Race this weekend in Sparta. Does anyone have any tips/news/advice? the weather looks like it is going to be great.

I have been to several races at KY speedway,

advise, is to arrive early the lines getting in to park is long, and the walk is longer, and if you are not one of the lucky ones you will be walking a long way, and some of it will be uphill. wear proper shoes, take a jacket weather is unpredictable, we usually bbq outside our car with just a portable grill before the race starts, or get ready to spend a lot of money of the food offering, and they aren%26#39;t the greatest, beer I think is 5.00 for the 32oz can. and 7.00 when the race starts if you buy from the stands.

Normally we get there right after the gates open, take food, drinks, and games to play before we go inside, once insided you can only exit one time.

Thanks for the information. We are used to bad traffic and long lines (we go to Indy, Mid-Ohio, Milwaukee and Michigan). I had no idea that the crowds would be as bad in Kentucky. Great advice - we will definately get there earlier than we had planned.
