Feb 2008 lodging options Mammoth Cave area, fun stuff

We are thinking of coming for a long weekend in the area. We just want a clean hotel with a decent bed.

Besides Mammoth Cave and the pay caves, what interesting things are there to do in February?

I would recommend the Comfort Inn %26amp; Suites in Cave City. This is the newer property near the Cracker Barrel. We stayed in a suite with 2 queen beds, sofa, microfridge, and large bathroom. The room was very spacious and clean, and staff were helpful. I have a review on this site; check it out.

We visited here last summer, and I think most of what we did was seasonal. We did Kentucky Down Under, but the only open this time of year there is the onyx cave. There is a cave museum in Horse Cave, and you could always head to Bowling Green, about 30 minutes away. They have the Corvette Museum there.
