HI, This is our first time to Louisville, and we thought we would stay other then a chain hotel. What nice B%26amp;B%26#39;s are available? We will be there the first weekend in April. Thanks for any help!
Bed N Breakfast option
Hi Diane. I think that%26#39;s a great option. You get so much personal service that way. Our loveliest ones are in the ';Old Louisville'; area around 3rd and 4th Streets near Central Park. There are not many (but a few good) restaurants within walking distance, but it%26#39;s not that difficult driving around here. Personally, I%26#39;ve stayed in the Culbertson Mansion and loved it. However, I%26#39;ve heard great reviews about several others. There are many reviews here on Tripadvisor. I%26#39;ve also stayed iat the Inn at Woodhaven and enjoyed it. It is located in Louisville%26#39;s east end, closer to the 2 big malls. I like it, but it gets a little confusing driving around the area.
Also, take a look at 21C boutique Hotel downtown. It is anything BUT a chain- very unique and wildly popular. Close to many downtown attractions.
Bed N Breakfast option
There are several Bed %26amp; Breakfasts in the Louisville area. I think that if you look on the Kentucky Bed and Breakfast associations website it will give you a list of B%26amp;B in the area that you might like to stay in (these bnb%26#39;s have all been inspected by the association before they can become members) or the local chamber office will sometimes have a list of B%26amp;B in the area. The Dupont Mansion %26amp; Inn on the Park are two beautiful B%26amp;B%26#39;s not too far from the downtown area and of course there are some that are further out in the rural areas. It just depends on what you want to do, but I think that you will love your visit to a B%26amp;B no matter where you stay.
