we will be driving through Paducah on our way to St. Louis, MO, from GA. need recommendations for where to stay
where to stay
There%26#39;s an Executive Inn in Paducah that%26#39;s very nice, but if it were me I%26#39;d stay at the lodge or cabin at Ky Dam Village IF you can get reservations. It is about 45 minutes east of Paducah, but lots to do in the area of Land Between the Lakes.
where to stay
The Executive Inn is a dump. The current owner has done very little if anything to fix it up.
We like the Egg %26amp; I B%26amp;B. It%26#39;s in the heart of LowerTown, you can easily want to Downtown or the river, and instead of trying to cram some hospital food down your throat, they give you a voucher for a continental breakfast across the street at Etcetera.
The B%26amp;B is great. It%26#39;s spotless and, as part of a total rehab, it%26#39;s new. Huge, too -- about 1500 sq ft! A spectacular bathroom. Sleeps four easily, although there were just the two of us. Cable tv, dvd player, complimentary water in the refrigerator (where you can store cold stuff, too), very quiet, new ADT security system, you get to use the front and back balconies, no smoking or pets. Rates are $95 for two people, and increases a bit as the number of guests increases.
What more could you want?
We have stayed at the drury and it is very sufficent for a nights stay.
how about a place to smoke your cigerette in peace.
