Old Talbott Inn

We recently had dinner at the Inn. The food was very good, and the service was great! The attention we got was unusally good, and our server told us about the Inn and it%26#39;s history. After dinner another one of the servers showed us several of the bedrooms, and told us the ghosts stories of %26#39;%26#39;the others%26#39;%26#39; who use the rooms. It was a very nice evening.

Has anyone stayed here recently? All reviews are from 2004. We are planning on visiting Bardstown for one night in March, 2 somewhat young adults, who are traveling for a few days and plan to tour distilleries. Any other suggestions?

There are several great BnB%26#39; in the area, I heard that Springhill Winery located in Bloomfield has a nice BnB also. I don%26#39;t think it is too far from Bardstown and I know they have some great wine.

We took our family there 3 years ago and found the food to be terrible. Canned vegetables, overcooked bland salmon. We were all very disappointed...that was 10 bad dinners!

My wife and I stayed at the Old Talbot Inn in November of 2007. The stay was great! We were a little disappointed in the breakfast. It was cereal, bagels, juice or milk. Nothing fancy. The dinners were very good but a little pricey. The atmosphere and hospitality was superb! We%26#39;re not ghost hunters but we did pick up voices on out tape recorder and had a few very unusual encounters with...something. Great place to stay, quiet during the week (except weekends due to live bands)and haunted.

Sorry to hear the breakfast changed. We stayed there about 5 years ago and we had a HUGE country style breakfast with eggs, bacon, awesome biscuits and gravy... FYI, the bar downstairs is popular. We stayed there on a Friday and Saturday night and the thin old walls fo the Inn were bumping with the live band downstairs. One night we didn%26#39;t mind because we were down there listening to the band. The next night I just wanted to go to sleep!
