Does anyone have information or thoughts about Shaker Town Village? My girl friends and I always do a girls weekend once a year and that%26#39;s one of the places that was mentioned. Any information on hotels, activities, etc would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Do check the web site! I don%26#39;t consider it so much a girls%26#39; weekend type place as much as a more romantic place. I love it there...my husband is from Harrodsburg, btw. They have wonderful family style dining. A new referendum passed allowing them to now serve alcohol; I would check with them first, they anticipated a delay. Rooms are rather Spartan, place is very quiet. If you love hiking and nature, it%26#39;s perfect. I know they are close to antique stores, horseback riding, river activities, etc. Hotels? ShakerVillage IS a destination.

They have some days that are nicer than others where they are doing a lot of activities. There is a B%26amp;B close to it that do dinners for churches around Christmas and Aumish girls sing Christmas Caroles. It is really nice but what is the name of the B%26amp;B? I will try to find it. I think it is a real nice place to visit.
Are you talking about the Beaumont Inn? Yes it%26#39;s nice...not much happening around there though.
