I%26#39;m having trouble finding one room for one night (2/13-14) in downtown Louisville area, was hoping around $80-100 but willing to go a bit higher if necessary. Main requirement is that it be comfortable and clean. Most of the larger hotels are sold out (some conference going on??)hence my appeal for help!
Need modest hotel or B%26amp;B downtown
According to the website, The Gallery House B%26amp;B has availability and the room rate is $85 - $95 depending upon which room you select. It is in ';Old Louisville'; which is very near downtown.

Have you tried Priceline? I%26#39;ve used it with great success for downtown Louisville. Generally, if you plug in three stars for the downtown area, you will wind up with the Hyatt, the Galt House, or the Marriott, all of which are in good locations and have been recently updated.
I meant to add that I%26#39;ve used it even when the hotel websites show that they are sold out and I%26#39;ve still gotten a room. Might be worth a try!
Yes, Renald. It%26#39;s Valentine%26#39;s time and it%26#39;s the Farm Machinery Show...one of Louisville%26#39;s biggest conventions. You will be lucky to get a room in a hotel. but suggest you start looking at B%26amp;Bs as they probably won%26#39;t house conventioneers. There are also a couple across the river in Jeffersonville, IN.
You might want to try Market Street Inn, it is just over the river from downtown (literally). Since it is technically Indiana, not many people realize it is there when other Louisville accommodations are sold out. The website is: http://www.innonmarket.com/
There are other B%26amp;Bs in Old Louisville, but they might be too far from downtown depending on where you need to be.
After contacting a couple of the mentioned B%26amp;Bs, I tried Priceline, bidding $ 70.00 which was accepted by a 4-star hotel downtown!
Thank you all for your helpful and useful suggestions! Is this a great site or what!
