Louisville to Cincinnati Reds

we%26#39;re going to take a day trip from Louisville to see the Cincinnati Reds in August. Any ideas for stops along the way? (4 adults, 3 generations)

Is it a day game or a night game? (That would have some bearing on what to suggest).

The only tourist attraction right on I-71 would be the Kentucky Speedway, and I%26#39;m not sure there would be anything worthwhile there (other than on race days...and I hope you won%26#39;t be going on a race day, because traffic on I-71 would be very heavy). Belterra Casino is several miles off I-71 (just acress the river in Indiana). It might be a good idea for a stop.

I can think of a few shopping destinations along the way, if you like to shop. There is an outlet mall in Carrollton, about halfway between Louisville and Cincinnati. There is a flea market in Richwood (once you get to I-75. And there is an antique market in Florence (that%26#39;s only about 15 minutes from Cincinnat).

There are a number of attractions once you rieach the Ohio River. On the Kentucky side of the river, we have the Newport Aquarium and Newport-On-The-Levee. The Ohio side of the river has the several museums (the Art Museum, Taft Museum, Underground Railroad Freedom Center).

Thanks for the help. I%26#39;ll check and make sure our tickets are not for a race day. You%26#39;ve given us lots of choices, Thanks!
