Hotels with really large suites or joining rooms?

Good afternoon Everyone

I am wondering if anyone knows of any hotels in the Lexington area that have larger than average suites. We are going to be passing through in the summer, on our way south and will be staying one night as a stopover. We do not want to spend a fortune but would like something with an indoor pool. There are 8 of us (4 adults and 4 children) travelling together. If there were less we would split a suite but I am not sure if there is anything big enough for a party of this size. We have stayed at the Springhill suites when there was not as many of us and loved it but I am thinking even their suites may not be big enough.

Thanks

The Embassy Suites at Newtown Pike and I-75/64 is probably your best bet, although it might be a little pricey. I don%26#39;t know if they have an indoor pool, but every E.S. I have stayed in has had one. An alternative would be the Country Inn and Suites at Winchester Road and I-75/64. We have stayed in a number of these, and the suites are bigger then your typical ';suite'; hotel. The Hilton Suites is located on the south side of town, near Fayette Mall and the intersection of New Circle Road and Nicholasville Rd. Same type of room setup as an E.S. Probably not very convenient for a one night stop over.

If I were you, though, I would take a look at the Holiday Inn North, across Newtown Pike from the Embassy Suites at Newtown and I-64/75. You can probably get adjoining hotel rooms there for considerably less than the E.S. The Holiday Inn North has a large indoor pool.

It may not be convenient to the Interstate, but the Crowne Plaza / Campbell House has suites and an indoor pool. I have not been in the suites, so I am not sure of their size.
