Hey Everyone!
We will be passing through Lexington KY on our way to TN in Aug and I was wondering if I could ask a question about the Red Roof Inn right off I-75 in Lexington. We stayed there years ago on a similar trip and really liked it, it was clean and safe and near the Cracker Barrel (we do not have Cracker Barrel in Canada and always stop there the first night through). I have heard people say that there is now a Hustler Shop or something right next door so we have avoided it since we travel with young kids and really do not want to have to make those kinds of explanations. My question is this : How close is this shop (if it is still there), is it noticeable and does anyone know whether there is any sort of...clientelle loitering around? I hate to sound like such a prude but two families travelling with a total of 4 children 8 and under....I am sure you understand.
Thanks

I understand your issue.
The Hustler Store is still there and it is a prominent fixture. It is a clean and well lit place and I don%26#39;t think loitering is an issue. I don%26#39;t think you would have to go into a lot of detail with your children. You could probably just say it is a lingerie shop like Victoria%26#39;s Secret. In the window display, I don%26#39;t recall there being anything too outrageous. I really don%26#39;t think you would need to be too concerned. This is a safe area and convenient to Hamburg Place shopping etc. I would be interested to see what others think. I don%26#39;t have children, so I don%26#39;t want to steer you to some place that would not be right for your family. That being said, it will probably be fine.

Thanks for the post....We had stayed there before and are familiar with the area, before the store was built...I remember the Red Roof being clean and a great deal, which is what we want for a one night stopover on the trip South. I just wanted to double check as the other family travelling with us would likely be more offended than maybe is the norm....?
