Chow Wagon

Did anyone who went in the ';beer garden'; Chow Wagon for Thunder notice there were significantly fewer food vendors this year? What%26#39;s the deal??

We were holed up in an office building because of the cold. So we didn%26#39;t make it down to the beer garden. However, I wonder if the vendors simply checked the weather beforehand and decided to skip it since the sales might not be good.

When we first arrived, I spotted two ice cream trucks and felt bad for them. I%26#39;m guessing ice cream sales weren%26#39;t good.

The hubby said that the paper estimated the crowd at 350,000 vs. as high as 800,000 in the past.

I talked to one of the vendors who said some of the folks he knows opted out because they knew it would be a light(er) crowd due to the cold and rain. Heine Brothers should have set up a booth. I only found one place with coffee.

This is my first Thunder in about 5 years so I can%26#39;t say how it compares as far as how many vendors. I know I never had to wait long for anything (except the coffee) which I know is unusual.
