I rented and RV and need to park it somewhere.
Anyone have any suggestions for us.
Thanks.
Coming to the Derby for the first time...
I believe some people park at the Fairgrounds nd that enables them to take the bus from the Faairgrounds to Churchill Downs on Derby Day. As far as parking near the track, I%26#39;d bet that such large spots are negotiated far in advance of the Derby with local homeowners....

I recall a sign at the football stadium stating that rv could be parked for $50. No idea what time you would need to arrive or arrange a ticket though. Since it is part of the University of Louisville, try calling their general number and asking for parking information. Be prepared for a long wait though and several transfers. They don%26#39;t have the greatest phone system. The fairgrounds could be another possibility. They are a bit more of a walk. Either place will be very crowded, plan on hanging out in the rv until a few hours after the race to avoid the traffic. As for overnight parking, no idea.
Doesn%26#39;t Walmart allow RV%26#39;s to park in their lots? If so, there are several in the area. If I were to choose, I%26#39;d probably try the one at Bashford Manor on Bardstown Road. Getting to the track would be an easy trip around the Watterson Expressway (I-264).
