My husband and I have been making an annual weekend trip to KY state resort parks for the past few years. We are hikers and outdoors people but like a comfortable bed to return to at night.
We been to four parks and are looking for a suggestion on where to go next. We are thinking of early spring.
The parks we have visited already, from my most favorite to least:
1. Carter Caves - nice hikes and CAVES!
2. Cumberland Falls - quaint resort, rafting, hiking and more.
3. Natural Bridge - Hiking and climbing
4. General Butler - it was raining and we don%26#39;t golf
Where should we else should we try?

It%26#39;s a National Park rather than a State Park but since ';CAVES'; was on your number one choice, how about considering Mammoth Caves National Park? It has hiking too of course. There%26#39;s a special forum for Mammoth Caves in Trip Advisor%26#39;s Kentucky forum.

Try our west KY parks - all are great - Barkley, Kenlake and Ky Dam Village. All are adjacent to Land Between the Lakes where there are countless activities!
Yes, Ky Lake, Lake Barkly, Paris Landing, they are all beautiful. There is one up by Hopkinsville, Pennyrile very nice!
Land between the lakes has so much to see and do! And if you make it that far stop in Grand Rivers KY at Pattis Settelment!
