Due to a relative moving to work in Louisville,I may be visiting Louisville from Toronto a lot ,mostly weekend trips.(So cheapo flights with connections lasting 10 hours are out0.
The only trouble is there is no non-stop flight from Toronto to Louisville, how do people with friends and relatives in both cities travel.
I can think of the following routes
(1)driving 9.5 hours one way according to yahoo maps
(2)flying Toronto to Indianopolis (served by Air Canada) and drive 2 hours with a rental car to Louisville
(3)flying with Delta from Toronto to Cincinnati and drive 2 hours to Louisville.
(4)driving to Detroit and fly from Detroit to louisville(any safety concern parking the car in Detroit?????)
Flying to and from Toronto
Either drive or take the train to Buffalo, NY. Southwest flies from there, usually connecting through Midway.
Flying to and from Toronto
Cincinnati is an easy drive. The airport is actually in Kentucky and it takes about an hour and a half or less to get to town.... But it may be a lot cheaper to fly Southwest from Buffalo because Delta has a stranglehold on the Cincinnati market...
The only trouble with Buffalo is that there is no direct flight from Buffalo to Louisville. So it%26#39;s 3- 4 hours plus 2 hours driving to Buffalo from T/O=5-6 hours not including customs and immigration.
Flying to Cincinnati is only 1.5 hours from T/O+1.5 hr s driving =3 hours.Guess has to wait for seat sales
