Which tours?

Next month my fiance and I are planning a camping trip to Mammoth Cave with 2 other couples. My fiance and I went last year and took the Frozen Niagra tour and the Historic Tour, the other 2 couples have never been. I was thinking of doing the Grand Avenue tour and maybe the Star Chamber tour. Do you think this would give the others a good view of the cave and show us new things? Has anyone been on the Star Chamber tour? Is it worth it?

Thanks!

Which tours?

When we visited, we did the Historic %26amp; New Entrance tours. We did them on separate days to split it up a bit.

As long as everyone is in good shape and doesn%26#39;t feel intimidated doing the 4 mile trip on the Grand Avenue tour, I%26#39;d do it. The only part that will not be new for you is the end where you will see the formations. You already saw these on the Frozen Niagara tour last year.

I have not done the Star Chamber tour, but it would probably be neat to see the Tuberculosis Huts. I suppose the only downside would be the lanterns. I have not taken a lantern tour, but I have heard that it%26#39;s much harder to see the points of interest. I guess it%26#39;s all what you enjoy/prefer.

Have a great time, and even though you are going in the off-season, you still might want to make advance reservations.
