I cannot find any reviews about this hotel. Can anyone tell me about the hotel and any great seafood resturants and sites to visit. We will be there June 15 through 21st.
Thanks so much.

Springhills Suites on Phillips Lane
This is a new hotel that has been open for probably less than 6 months. It is located on Phillips Ln which is a stretch with many motels, but unfortunately lacking in restaurants. You will be literally in walking distance or a two minute drive to the state fairgrounds. Kentucky Kingdom theme park is located there if you have an interest in that sort of thing. As for great seafood restaurants, there are none I am aware of in this area. Someone else may be of help on this issue. Churchill Downs is less than five minutes by car from the Springhill Suites. You can be downtown in ten minutes by car from your hotel. There are numerous restaurants to choose from there. I know there is a Joe%26#39;s Crabshack on the waterfront, though I have not eaten there in years so cannot speak for the food there. The waterfront always has things going on in the summer such as Louisville Bats AAA baseball, concerts, etc. Slugger Museum is also downtown as well as the Muhammad Ali Museum. Enjoy your trip!

Louisville has lots of outstanding restaurants, but the seafood genre is not really a strength of this city. Mitchell%26#39;s Seafood out at The Summit in the East End is very good, but that%26#39;s a bit of a drive for someone not familiar with the city. I do understand that we will be getting a brand of the great McCormick %26amp; Schmick seafood chain downtown in the Starks Building some time, but I don;t know when it will be opened...
thank you so much for your post. We are excited about our first trip to Kentucky and love jazz, the fairgrounds and musuems.

We had a couple seafood restaurants over the years, but now the majority are really mediocre. Kingfish on the River is like a glorified Long John Silvers. Ditto for Captain%26#39;s Quarters, although it is a fun place on weekends with live music and the whole river scene. Please refer to my golist here on trip advisor for things to see and do.
There are many restaurants who do seafood VERY well. My absolute favorite is Seviche on Bardstown Road. This restaurant equals any one you will visit in NYC or SF. Z%26#39;s on Hurstbourne Lane is fabulous, too. Because we have the UPS headquarters/hub here, we get fresh seafood daily. Locally, Seafood Connection in St Matthews is THE place to buy fresh seafood, but they only have a small eat-in or carry out lunch service. Still, you wont find a better lunch for fin lovers!
Not sure why you chose that location, but it%26#39;s right on the expressway and a short distance to lots of places. Bardstown road is one exit from you. There are a plethora of great restaurants, fun shops, antiques, etc along this strectch.
Thank you so much. We chose that location, because this is where our church is staying for the convention. We love antiques and enjoy shopping.
We need to know is there a nice golf course near Springhills suites and a massage salon.
Some of your favorite bakeries and ice treats and finally is the weather like in June
Thanks so much.
