Hotel recommendations in Bowling Green for 2 nights

My wife and 3 kids will arrive in Bowling Green on July 17th and are considering doing the Corvette factory tour, museum, and possibly a Mammoth Cave tour late in the afternoon. I have reservations for the corvette factory tour already at 9:00 a.m.

Is this itinerary doable in one day?

Also, any recommendations on a hotel in or near Bowling Green?

Thank you.

It%26#39;s do-able, and probably a bit tiring! It is about a 30 - 40 min drive from the Corvette plant to Mammoth Cave. It%26#39;s best to reserve a cave tour in advance during the summer.

We have all the major chain hotels--mostly clustered on I-65 near Exit 22, a couple farther north near the Corvette plant.

Thank you Tessie. I/We greatly appreciate it.

As Tessie said, definitely make advance reservations for your cave tour. We took a late afternoon/early eve one the day we arrived once our flight landed. I believe our tour was around 4:45. It was great; fewer people..very enjoyable.

Go to recreation.gov for tour times, descriptions, and reservations. If you have any additional questions on tours, let us know.

I%26#39;m sorry I can%26#39;t recommend a hotel in Bowling Green. We stayed closer to Mammoth Cave in Cave City.

I%26#39;ll definitely take everyones advice and make a tour reservation. Right now, I%26#39;m just reading through the forum to get everyons opinion of what the best tour(s) is/are.

Also, a hotel recommendation in Bowling Green would be appreciated. Seems I can easily find where NOT to stay but where to actually stay is not so clear.

Thanks again.

I highly recommend the Historic %26amp; New Entrance Tours. The Historic Tour provides you with the history of the cave as its name suggests, and the New Entrance will provide you an opportunity to see the few formations the cave has to offer. If you have the time and energy, there%26#39;s always the Grand Avenue Tour. The tour lasts about 4 hours (4 miles long) with a stop for lunch in the Snowball Room. We chose two tours on separate days to split it up a bit.

Please don%26#39;t hesitate to ask if you have any more questions.

I have stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Bowling Green a couple of times and it was always clean and safe.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I%26#39;ll look at making my reservations (hotel and cave tour) here in the next few days.

I went to college at Western. Either myself or my parents have stayed at the Drury Inn, Hampton Inn, and the Couryard. When we stayed there, they were all nice. There is also a new Hilton Garden Inn that is supposed to be nice. Make sure you eat at Montana Grill, Mariah%26#39;s, Mancino%26#39;s and/or Brickyard. Those are the restaurants I still crave, 7 years after graduation! Have a great trip.

Thanks for the restaurant suggestions. We%26#39;ll definitely try as many of these as we can.
