Going to kentucky with 4 kids

going all over kentucky with 4 kids. They want to horseback ride and we want to go antiqueing.

What are some fun cheaper things to do with the kids?

Horseback riding, along with a LOT of other close-contact activities are available at the Kentucky Horse Park, just outside of Lexington on Iron Works Pike off of I-75/64. The Red River Gorge is great for hiking, a beautiful place. It is 45 miles east of Lexington on the Mountain Parkway. There are antique stores just about everywhere, but there is a large concentration in the small town of Midway, located between Lexington and Frankfort.

There%26#39;s a lot to see and do here. These are just a couple of highlights around the Lexington area. I%26#39;m sure others will post with more alternatives, particularly elsewhere in the Commonwealth.

Fun ones for kids include Big Bone Lick, Fort Boonesborogh, Old Fort Harrod, and Red River Gorge/Natural Bridge.

Falls of the Ohio

All of the above are reasonably priced.

There%26#39;s also a Corvette factory tour that I have not yet been to in Bowling Green.

Your two ideas are expensive so I can understand you wanting other, cheaper things to do. Horseback riding usually costs about $25 per person for an hour ride. And antiqueing, well . . .
