Looking on Travelocity, Delta, American, and Continential offer direct flights from LAX and Las Vegas to Louisville. Southwest also offers direct flights to Louisville on occassion and flies out of Las Vegas. They are my preferred airline despite the ';cattle call'; boarding. However, I don%26#39;t know that you want to change airlines completely.

I would strongly suggest a travel agent to make sure your bags arrive. Also, the travel agent can ensure that Australia is your beginning destination and Louisville, your final destination. Otherwise, you may run the risk of getting charged for extra bags.

American, United, and US Airways charge extra for a second bag. American I believe now charges for the FIRST bag, which gives me bad feelings about them. Delta is decent, just more expensive. Continental has direct flights from all 3 places and is a pretty good airline. No excess bag charges that I know of and they are the only one left that serves food on domestic flights. Again, work with a travel agent, that would be worth the money in my opinion. LAX and San Fran are huge airports. Las Vegas is smaller. Actually, I was unaware they had international capability. If you can get on a ';sister airline'; to the one your are flying in on, your bags may arrive easier and you can avoid going through check in again. For example, American and British Airways have a contract. Dunno about the others.

No matter what city you go into, you will have to get your bags and reload them after clearing customs. Since you are boarding a domestic flight, you will have to go through security again. You will also have to remove your shoes to walk through security.

Well, that was a long rambling statement. Hope this helps. Enjoy the fair city.

Interesting...I have flown to 2 of your 3 airports and travel to CA almost every year. I generally avoid SFO not because it%26#39;s huge, but very disorganized. I prefer flying through SAC for SWA%26gt;

I would like to know where you are seeing direct flights to Louisville. I have only flown direct to LAS once and that was a charter. I have searched on kayak after reading this and all the flights I see connect with one or two stops. If you%26#39;ll look to the left side of the search the ';nonstop only'; option doesn%26#39;t even appear when I plug in SDF. Again, I%26#39;m not trying to argue with youm, but I I%26#39;d like you to explain where the nonstop flights are and when.
