Are making a mistake?

We are planning a Bardstown trip. Kinda of wanted to stay at the Old Talbott Inn. I made reservations and they reminded me several times that the music is very loud. My question is, are we making a mistake by staying there? We would like to be downtown in the mist of things. The Inn looks nice. We have only eaten dinner there one time. It was good.

If this isn%26#39;t the place what do you all recommend?

We do not know much about the Inn side of it.

I see by their website that they sometimes have 2 music acts and they play from 9-1 am. I guess if you want to stay up late that%26#39;s not a problem! We ate there with extended family and it was NOT worth the money at all. They used canned vegetables and the fish was overcooked and bland.

Have you considered A Rosemark Haven? It gets pretty good reviews and looks quiet. Bardsrtown is a great little town, btw..

I forgot to mention...look at the reviews here on Trip Advisor. They have 6 reviews and all of them are bad..each gave them 2 stars. I agree. Great little bar, though.

thanks for the information. I read the reviews but they were from 2004. Wanted to see what everyones latest thoughts were on Talbott%26#39;s.

We also thought of Jailers inn. Is it near downtown. Walking distance to everything. We have been to Bardstown several times. Stayed at Springhill inn and at the Hampton. Wanted to try something different.

We have changed our reservations. Decided to stay at the Jailers Inn. Looks nice. We really didn%26#39;t want to hear a band for two nights in a row. thanks for the advice

LOVE Jailers Inn; we actually stayed in the jail cell, LOL; what a hoot! Enjoy, and report back.

Glad to hear it worked out for you. We stayed at the Days Inn in Bardstown and it%26#39;s need of repairs and the management was rude - - BIG MISTAKE!

We did eat dinner at Old Talbott Inn and loved it.

we are sometimes cautious on the b%26amp;B%26#39;s. But the Jailers Inn was great. We ride a motorcycle and they let us park it in the courtyard. That is great customer service. We originally thought about staying at the Old Talbott Inn. Glad we didn%26#39;t. The music at night was a bit loud. They do have great food. At the Jailer%26#39;s we got to sit on the front porch and ';people watch';. Great time. We needed the break and they helped it happen.
