Is there participation in the World%26#39;s Longest Yard Sale (Aug. 7-10) on the Union...Beaverlick section of 127, down to Glencoe? Or do I need to just stay on the Interstate until I get to the Glencoe area? (Traveling north to south)
127 Yard Sale
Yes there is participation. I had to drive that route for many years and there were several sales along the way. Have fun!
127 Yard Sale
I%26#39;m planning on flying to Nashville, renting a car and driving up 127 from hwy 40 in Tennesse....I would like to travel all of the 127 in Kentucky. I have heard there are stops along the way in Jamestown, Danville, and Frankfurt....are there other stops along the way with yard sales? Anyone know of smaller towns? Also, where is there to get a room along the way in KY? Thanks...
The towns of Harrodsburg and lawrenceburg are both north of Danville and always have a lot of participants in the sale. Danville and Frankfort both have major hotel chains, and Danville has a couple nice B%26amp;B%26#39;s.
i would like to know the best route to do thru kentucky for the yard sale and where the most sale are set up we only have 2 days does it start on thursday or friday
There are yard sales everywhere along Hwy127. In Union there are usually a lot of them grouped together. Some places there will be several in one area and then you may have to drive for a little while to find more. In Danville the fairgrounds will have several vendors. This will be our 4th year to go, never seem to buy that much but it is so interesting to see all the things that people are trying to sell. We have had our reservations for a couple months, the first year we waited until the last minute and had to stay about 30 miles off of 127.
Good luck on traveling the whole kentucky route....We%26#39;ve been 10 out of the last 11 years and the farthest we have made it in one day is 52 miles. We usually stick to the ones right on 127 but there are signs everyone for ones off on side roads. Hope everyone finds good deals. freda
We have some nice bed and breakfasts (including mine!) here in Versailles, KY. We%26#39;re 10 minutes from Lawrenceburg and 14 minutes from Frankfort. Beautiful horse farms, lots of history, bourbon distilleries, wineries, in case you get tired of shopping.
