World's Longest Yard Sale!!!

My wife has told me that we will be visiting the world%26#39;s longest yard sale with her this weekend. It just so happens that there is an Indycar race at Kentucky Speedway on Saturday night. Sounds like were going to have a good weekend. My question is this: Is there very much yardsale activity along highway 127 in Owen County? We will be heading north on 127 from Frankfort to the speedway and since this is a pretty rural area I was wondering if there would be much as far as yardsales go. Any help would be great. Thanks.

This reply is too late for the OP, but just for future reference...

My husband and I did part of the World%26#39;s Longest Yard Sale (Highway 127 Sale) yesterday. We started in Harrodsburg, KY and went down to Russell Springs, KY before cutting back over to Somerset and heading home. Just to hit some of the highlights.....Other than one group of vendors at a Christian school in Harrodsburg, we didn%26#39;t find many large groups of people selling around Harrodsburg or Danville. As soon as we got out of Danvile and close to Junction City, KY, the crowds (and the traffic) began to thicken up. Junction City had a very large group of vendors set up right next to the Shell Station and we spent close to an hour there.

The next big group of sales was around Liberty, KY. Just past Liberty, we had a nice lunch at the Bread of Life Cafe. Our favorite stop of the day was between Liberty and Dunnville. There was a huge group of vendors set up on the edge of a farm. There was also an Amish bakery here and we bought delicious cookies, bread, and jam cake. They also had a horse walking a treadmill, which was churning ice cream. It was delicious!

After passing Dunnville, things thinned out a bit until we got close to Russell Springs. Some of the biggest groups of sales that we had seen all day were near just outside Russell Springs. However, by the time we got there, we were worn out from a long day of prowling through other people%26#39;s junk, so we didn%26#39;t stop at many.

This was our first experience with the 127 Sale. We bought a few interesting items, but the entire experience was worth it just for the sights we saw and the food we ate.
