Hi,
Does anyone know of any drive-in theatres within an hour drive of Lexington? Thanks!
Drive-in movie theatres
There used to be one on the old road between Lexington and Richmond. But I haven%26#39;t been by it since college, so I don%26#39;t know if it is still operating.
There are two drive-in%26#39;s that I%26#39;m aware of in %26amp; around the Louisville area. We really like the Georgetown drive-in across the river in Indiana (probably 1 hour 45 mins. from Lex). When the train goes by, you can%26#39;t hear the sound. I don%26#39;t know why I think that%26#39;s funny. The Kenwood would be a bit closer. Be sure to call and make sure they are open before making the drive.

Drive-in movie theatres
There are drive ins that show first run movies in Paris and Harrodsburg. Both are about 20 minutes away form Lexington on U.S. 68. Paris is northwest of Lex, and Harrodsburg is southwest.
There are 2 drive ins that I know of. (different than the above posters) The first one is called: Sky-Vue Twin Drive-In it is on Winchester Rd. About 20 minutes (At most from Lexington)
You can watch 2 movies for the price of one.
The website is: http://www.skyvuetwindrivein.com/
There is another one in Stanton, KY callled:
Mountain View Drive-In and their website is:
www.mtviewdrivein.com/
The drive ins are in Paris and Winchester. I was wrogn about Harrodsburg.
I have only been to the one in Winchester, but it is an easy drive from Lexington and I have always enjoyed it.
