which hotel near the bat factory??

We will be driving on Hwy 64 from St Louis area. We need a hotel that is close to the bat factory, within 30 minutes is fine and is around $70 a night or less. I%26#39;m finding that a lot of places (especially Hilton family hotels) have smoke only rooms and that is nasty. I found one Comfort Inn in Sellersburg In but it does have good reviews.

The other ones are:

Days Inn Louisville Central University and Expo Center but it is off of HWY 65

Holiday Inn in Corydont, In

And

Holiday Inn in New Albany, In

which hotel near the bat factory??

The Holiday Inn in New Albany would probably be the most convenient. It is right off of I-64 an only about 10 minutes away from the Louisville Slugger Museum (the bat factory) which is located in downtown Louisville. Also if you stay there, and you are looking for a good family restaurant, Tommy Lancaster%26#39;s would be a good choice. Although the food is nothing fancy (think family diner), it is always good. It is family-owned, been around for years and somewhat of a local institution in New Albany.

which hotel near the bat factory??

You might also plan on having lunch at Luigi%26#39;s Pizza and Pasta which is two doors from the Louisville Slugger Museum

Thanks for the help with the hotel. We will have 5 boys with us and 7 adults. Which resturant (Tommy Lancaters or Luigis Pizza and Pasta) would be better for us? What about prices??? Are they both about the same??

I am not sure how your itinerary is going, but if you are just looking at spending the night at the hotel, then seeing the bat factory the next morning and then heading out, you would probably be best to just eat at Luigi%26#39;s afterwards. Luigi%26#39;s is just a lunchtime restaurant. Tommy Lancaster%26#39;s is pretty much basic dinner. The food is good, but mainly diner-type food and pretty simple (they are in the catering business also)3. If you are looking for someplace for dinner, it would probably be a good choice.

I%26#39;m sorry, I didn%26#39;t see where you asked about prices. Luigi%26#39;s is prettey much pizza parlor type prices. Tommy Lancaster%26#39;s prices are very moderate. If you are going to be there on the weekend, they offer a pretty decent buffet, which I think runs about $11 for adults. They also have a buffet on Monday and Wednesday, which is cheaper, but I am not sure how it differs.

We will just be there for a bat factory tour, lunch then hitting the road to drive toward Virginia Beach.

Then I would just hit Luigi%26#39;s for lunch. It would be backtracking to go back to Tommy Lancaster%26#39;s, which isin New Albany.

okay thanks for the info
