Hi,
I will be in Louisville for work for a few days and was looking for some advice on the best places to go for breakfast as well as are there any microbreweries worth going to for a burger and a beer?
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Microbrews and Breakfast?
Don%26#39;t miss Lynn%26#39;s Paradise Cafe for breakfast, 984 Barret Ave.; close to downtown. Great food, funky decor, and the best collection of ugly lamps you%26#39;ll find anywhere. It%26#39;s a Louisville treasure. Check out lynn%26#39;sparadisecafe.com.
Sweet and Savory in the Highlands, 1574 1/2 Bardstown Road, is one of our favorites. More great food...try their breakfast strata or the kind of breakfast your mother made you. Small, with the feeling that you%26#39;re eating in someone%26#39;s kitchen.
Microbrews...others know more than I do.
Where are you staying?
Microbrews and Breakfast?
Hi - thanks so much for you quick response! Both those places sound exactly like what I%26#39;m looking for.
I%26#39;ll be at the 21c Museum Hotel which I think is right downtown.
If you have any other recommendations on places to go/restaurants/things to see please let me know. As of now, I%26#39;m going to try and see a Bats game, take a tour of Churchill Downs and visit the Louisville Slugger Factory.
Thank you again!
Try these microbreweries..........
Cumberland Brews (on Bardstown Road)

Blue Grass Brewing Co. (BBC...multiple locations)

New Albanian Brewing Co./Rich O%26#39;s Public House (across the river in New Albany, Indiana)

Browning%26#39;s (in the Slugger Field complex)

Also check out ';Toast'; on Market St. for breakfast.

The Oakroom at the Seelbach Hilton does an amazing Sunday brunch buffet.
Lynn%26#39;s is colorful and different...I think they are more quantity over quality and the service and wait times can be pretty bad.
For great breakfast, I recommend North End cafe on Frankfort Ave. Also, Toast on Market, Wild Eggs in Dupont Circle and the very good Meridian Cafe in St Matthews.
You%26#39;ve picked the best place to stay for a unique, artsy hotel stay. 21c has gained national attention and the restaurant has fabulous dining.
You%26#39;re itenerary is right on the mark. You should have wonderful trip.
This thread is from our local, online food and restaurant discussion forum. Several local beer lovers are currently discussing restaurant beer offerings %26amp; the merits of various brands available in the area etc.
If you%26#39;re seriously into beer, you may want to join this discussion. Roger Baylor is with New Albany Brewing Co (mentioned in the post above)....
