Beside the fact he is not a fan of OJ :) anyone have any opinions on the food/service. I know it is pricey but is it worth it? Thanks in advance!

Not being a fan of OJ moved him up a notch in my book. (My opinion of him was not very high.) But, I have heard the food is great and that it is worth it. I%26#39;ve never eaten there myself, but know plenty of people who have. I know it%26#39;s not much help.

Thank you naturewalker for your input. The OJ incident is one of the reasons why I want to dine at his restaurant. It took guts to do what he did.
Hi Gator. Jeff Ruby is a real card, a true character. He owns a few restaurants in KY and Ohio and they are successful because he keeps the formula pretty much the same. Top quality meat, large helpings of sides and top-notch service. My husband has entertained many clients at a few of Ruby%26#39;s restaurants in Cincinnati, Belterra Resort and Louisville. It has been a continual favorite with male clients (the steak and potatoes type). We also took parents and extended family there this year- 12 in all. They seated us in a semi private room. Though I%26#39;m not a meat eater, the fish entrees and selections were excellent. We all had good food and the service was above and beyond what I expected. The waiters even helped escort a couple of the elderly women to the ladies room! Valet parking is a perk as well. The large open bar features live music and of course, all Louisville restaurants are blissfully smoke free in all areas. Expect a hefty bill..about on par with Morton%26#39;s or Ruth Chris with everything a la carte. Let me know if you get a chance to dine there!
Hi LLinda!
My son and I are going to be in Louisville next weekend. We have a Friday night reservation at Jeff Ruby%26#39;s. Always a good sign when the locals endorse it. We also have Lynn%26#39;s Paradise Cafe on the radar.
Love their Kentucky Farmhouse scramble. (What she beat Bobby Flay with on the throw down.)
If you have a recommendation on who serves a good pizza I would love to hear it.
Thanks!

If you like local pizza try Impellizeri;s or Bearno%26#39;s or Tony Boombozz or some like Rocky%26#39;s pizza. That%26#39;s all I can think of for now. But I%26#39;ll ask others.
Okay, gator, I sent this question to Louiville foodies. These are folks in the biz...chefs, servers, patrons, etc. My two cents is that Bearno%26#39;s is not worth it. They have slipped in the past years using bland sauces, canned mushrooms, etc. Impellizeri%26#39;s is very thick and cheesy...
Tony Boombozz has great pizzas and some are very different. However, it%26#39;s not a ';dining'; experience. Wick%26#39;s used to be a big smoke pit so I never went there. Clifton%26#39;s pizza on Frankfort Ave is pretty good...atmosphere is really fun and they usually have some great live music. I had pizza for the first time at Primo%26#39;s last week...very thin crust, authentic Italian taste. I loved it. Anyway, keep checking this link as I have asked ';the best'; in Louisville to chime in! Cheers!!!

I%26#39;ll second the Bearno%26#39;s advice from the last post--not worth it. Not bad, just not worth it.
Wick%26#39;s is still my favorite. I make sure to go there at least once on every trip back to town. I went to the new Impellizzari%26#39;s (sp) on Bardstown the last time I was in town and it was very good. Thumbs up for Tony Boombozz as well.
Thanks gang! Right now I am leaning towards Tony Boombozz based on everyone%26#39;s input. I am not really looking for a ';dining eperience'; Just a good pizza and a glass of wine. I see he has four locations. Can you tell which one will be closest to the downtown area. (staying at the Hyatt)
Thanks again to all!

I highly recommend Fat Jimmy%26#39;s for pizza...one word, THICK
I%26#39;m no expert on food, but my husband and I are partial to Za%26#39;s Pizza Pub.
