I will be traveling to Louisville in a couple of weeks for just an overnight stay.
Tell me something fun to do and somewhere not outrageously expensive to eat.
Thanks!

You might enjoy reading this. It%26#39;s a thread from the local restaurant/foodie forum. Someone asked the forumites to recommend restaurants %26amp; activities for a five day stay in Louisville. Here%26#39;s the discussion: wineloverspage.com/forum/鈥?/a>
This is the follow-up post indicating what restaurants they dined at during their visit.

What area will you be staying in? Louisville is very spread out.
The LaQuinta - I think it%26#39;s near the expo center???
Some of my personal favorite eating spots that aren%26#39;t too pricey:
1. Havana Rumba-really, really good Cuban food
2. Cafe LouLou-eclectic, but delicious...sort of a cross between Louisville and Louisiana.
3. Lynn%26#39;s Paradise Cafe-great atmosphere and good food
All three of these have their own websites, if you want to check out their menus.
Walk the scenic loop in Cherokee park and then eat dinner at Ramsis.

My husband and I visited KY last summer and we are still dreaming about the food at Lynn%26#39;s Paradise Cafe. Yum!!
I think any of the restaurants of the Indiana side facing Louisville are nice. I also like eating outside at Captains Quarters. It gives a real feel for river life. All of these are reasonalby priced.
Thank you all so much, looking forward to this trip even though it%26#39;s just a quickie.
We got back yesterday from our quick trip to Louisville. Didn%26#39;t really have time to do ANYTHING. We did have dinner at Lynn%26#39;s Paradise Cafe. It was very good. We all had the really cheesy Hot Brown. Loved it! I don%26#39;t think I%26#39;ll need anything with cheese on it for awhile now.
Maybe I%26#39;ll make it back up there sometime. Thanks again!
