Hello everyone...
My family is travelling to Louisville in late August for the BMX National Championsip races in Tom Sawyer Park. I have 2 teenagers (13 %26amp; 15) including other families that would all like to stay at the same place. After a long day at the races we like to relax, preferably by a pool (if it has a bar that%26#39;s even better)at a hotel that has suites and offers free breakfast. I see alot of options but would prefer to use forum friends to guide me a bit...
Thanks!

Hotel near Tom Sawyer Park?
There is a Hampton Inn right off of Westport Road. I would guess about 2 miles from Sawyer Park. I%26#39;ve generally had positive experiences with Hampton Inn, as have most people I know. I%26#39;ve never stayed in this one, but it is fairly new with an outdoor pool. Plenty of restaurants, stores, movie theater, etc. nearby, actually right across from the intersection of Frey%26#39;s Hill Rd. and Westport Rd. Frey%26#39;s Hill is where the park is located.
However, no suites at HI.
Also fairly new is a Marriot Springhill Suites on Hurstbourne Pkwy. Probably about the same distance to the park. But, based on the one picture of the rooms that is displayed on their website, I%26#39;m betting they are not true suites, but a large room with a sitting area and a microwave %26amp; fridge. And the pool is indoor. You might not care, though.
There is an Embassy Suites also right off Hurstbourne Pkwy. This is going to be your best bet for a true suite. And you can probably find a cocktail to enjoy by the pool. Again, though, indoor pool.
And, of course, there is a Marriott Residence Inn in Springhurst, which is also very close to the park. These are like little apartments. Some even have 2 bedrooms. They have an indoor pool, also.
Have fun.
