Weekend at Burlington's Willis Graves Bed and Breakfast Inn

My husband and I (ages 63 and 59 respectively) are considering a long weekend this fall or next summer at Burlington%26#39;s Willis Graves Bed and Breakfast Inn. What else might interest us in the area? We enjoy the arts.

Well, you will be in the back yard of the Cincinnati/Covington airport! Then there%26#39;s the Florence Mall. Seriously, I have never stayed there, but I much prefer staying at Christopher%26#39;s B%26amp;B in Bellevue for being closer to any %26#39;action';. The Newport levee is a few minutes away, along with Cincinnati. Northern Ky is essentially a suburb of Cincinnati and you will have massive traffic problems on the bridges at any high travel times.

Thanks for your feedback, LL. This particular B%26amp;B came up as a general possibility during the years that one of my sons was at Miami U. We liked both its looks and the story behind it. We never got there, but now that he%26#39;s graduated, he%26#39;s begun his career in the area and shares a house with friends in Mason, so there%26#39;s still some interest in spending time around Cincinnati.

Great! We were in Mason last spring and had a really good dinner at a restaurant there called ';One';. Perhaps when you visit you can share a great dinner there.

Don%26#39;t know if you are still checking this post, but you are in for a treat if you are looking to stay at Willis Graves%26#39; B%26amp;B. My husband and I were frequent guests when business travel took us that direction. We miss it!

The Tousey House restaurant is around the corner and is supposed to be re-opening sometime this fall. I have never had dinner there, but I have heard wonderfuly things about it.

Hope you have a great trip!

Even though a job promotion has taken my son out of the area, I%26#39;m still interested in staying at Willis Graves someday and enjoyed reading your recommendation as well as as TA review from May. Over the past year we%26#39;ve been more drawn to jazz festivals or art exhibitions in cities (Detroit, DC, Philadelphia, Rochester), but one of these days we%26#39;ll come to Willis Graves to relax.
