Thanks in advance for your time in replying to us.

Next Saturday 11/15

How about Churchill Downs-the fall meet is going on now. The Kentucky Derby Museuem is located on the grounds. There are several restaurant options at the Downs and not all have a strict dress code. Downtown you have the Louisville Slugger Museuem and the Frazier Historical Arms Museum and the Louisville Science Museuem. They are are located within easy walking distance of one another as is the Muhammad Ali Museum. Just across the bridge in Jeffersonville Ind are several waterfront restaurants-Rocky%26#39;s, Buckhead%26#39;s, Kingfish and my favorite, The Bristol. On the KY side is Joe%26#39;s Crab Shack and Tumbleweed.

Louisville is also know for it%26#39;s park systems-Cherokee is a favorite of many folks. For night life check out 4th Street live downtown if you want glitzy or the lower Bardstown Road area for smaller,

homegrown type of places. We have a great waterfront area for just hanging out. On the campus of the University of Louisville you have the Speed Art Museum. There really is something for everyone here. Hope this helps. Also downtown there is a neat glassworks factory called Glassworks!

Next Saturday 11/15

You might want to think about having dinner in the Baxter/Bardstown Rd area - lots of options from pretty expensive but wonderful (Jack Fry%26#39;s, Lilly%26#39;s, Cafe Metro) to more moderate options (Uptown Cafe, Bristol) as well as some interesting ethnic opportunities (Palermo Viejo (Argentinian), De La Torres (Spanish) or Le Gallo Rosso (homestyle Italian). Then you could head out to some of the local bars in the area - again, lots of options (O%26#39;Sheas, Molly Malone%26#39;s etc). Use taxi%26#39;s so you don%26#39;t have to drive home - bars stay open until 4 AM, if you%26#39;ve got the stamina.

I agree. Have a day at the Downs.

I must respectfully disagree with the restaurant suggestions.

Try these instead: Havana Rumba for Cuban food, Seviche for Latin food (go to Bardstown Rd. location only), Sapporo (Bardstown Rd.) for sushi, Jack Fry%26#39;s for some Louisville style southern cuisine (Bardstown Rd, also). See a pattern here? Some of our best restaurants, and our best bar scene, is on Bardstown Rd.

After dinner, head down to the Connection for an awesome drag show. Check their website for showtimes. The show is a blast.

Those all sound like great ideas. To see if I can get a little more info from you....are there any riverside restaraunts with fun atmospehere%26#39;s? Also are there any comedy clubs or fun activities to do at night with my girlfriend other than a bar? (something geared towards her because this is SUPPOSED to be about her....lol)

The Broadway musical Mama Mia will be at the Kentucky Center for the Arts this weekend-it%26#39;s a fun show your girlfriend would probably love-not sure about ticket prices and availability. How about an evening of ice skating-google ice skating in louisville and you%26#39;ll get several options. Joe%26#39;s Crabshack seems to be popular with the college crowd and is on the waterfront adjacent to Waterfront park-dress warm it%26#39;s supposed to be really cold here this weekend. There is a bowling alley at 4th Street live called Lucky Strike lanes-it%26#39;s glitzy bar type of place but looks like it might be fun. Check out our newspaper courier-journal.com for weekend activities.

Comedy Caravan is our local comedy club.

There is also a new comedy club at 4th Street Live, I think it is called Comedy Live ??? they%26#39;ve had big name comedians lately.Check the weekend paper for the name and acts. Enjoy your time.
