Hi,
What is the best casual diner in Louisville for Sunday brunch?
Thanks!
Best Diner in Louisville?
Here are some options....
Lynn%26#39;s Paradise Cafe does a good breakfast/brunch and the atmosphere is fun. It%26#39;s casual. The wait can be long.

Captain%26#39;s Quarters does a brunch buffet. Might be a little less casual, but you could still show up in jeans and be fine. http://www.cqriverside.com/
Toast is good. Totally casual.

Wild Eggs. Same.

Across the river in New Albany, ';A Nice Restaurant'; is a diner atmosphere with a really good breakfast. Casual. It%26#39;ll take about 15-20 mins. from downtown. A bit of a drive, but worth it. They close early (after lunch). Call to make sure they are open. I seem to recall that they only take cash. http://www.iglou.com/restaurants/nice.shtml
J. Graham%26#39;s Cafe the casual restaurant on the first floor of the Brown Hotel does a Sunday brunch.

The Good Creek Diner would also be a good call, but a 15-20 min. drive from downtown to the East end. Casual.

If you want to ';do it up';, the Oakroom in The Seelbach is the biggest %26amp; most elaborate Sunday brunch buffet. It%26#39;s wonderful, but you%26#39;ll need to dress up a bit. Also wear something that can be loosened around the waist.
Some people may point you toward the Bristol Sunday Brunch. The one on Bardstown Rd. just isn%26#39;t that good anymore. Not sure about the other locations.
Best Diner in Louisville?
Wow! Thanks so much. I%26#39;ve actually eaten at Lynn%26#39;s the last time I was in Louisville. It was great, but yes, we waited over an hour. Have done the Seelbach too, very good, but looking for a more casual ';diner'; atmosphere. So, I%26#39;ll check out the other options you mentioned.
Again, thank you so much for your help...it is just what I was looking for. I%26#39;ve been watching ';Diner%26#39;s Drive-Ins and Dive%26#39;s'; so much on the food network that I am craving diner food!
try wagner%26#39;s pharmacy by churchill downs. bobby flay did a breakfast throwdown there when he was in for derby this year. its not a buffet but the breakfast is too good.
Wagner%26#39;s Pharmacy: (502) 375-3800
That sounds fun! Did Bobby win? I know he also did a throwdown a few years ago at Lynn%26#39;s Paradise Cafe.
You guys are giving me great choices!
Thanks!
Lynn won the breakfast throw down at her restaurant. I didn%26#39;t see the one at Wagners.
He also did a Hotbrown throw down and I cannot remember who won that one either.
Bobby Flay lost to Chefs of the Brown hotel, Joe and John Castro, on the hotbrown throwdown. Season 2 episode 13.
I cannot find any info on the Wagners Pharmacy throwdown.
Here is another option for something different:
Mojitos has a Sunday brunch. I%26#39;ve seen at least one rave review for it.
It%26#39;s a Cuban tapas restaurant in Holiday Manor, located on US 42 at I-264.
How about the Twig %26amp; Leaf on Bardstown Rd. It%26#39;s an old school diner. Might be just what you%26#39;re looking for.
and North End Cafe, Frankfort Ave.
Thanks Oakea! I will check out your suggestions. We%26#39;re going to Louisville this Sunday. I%26#39;ve checked out all of Seagrover%26#39;s suggestions and narrowed it down to Toast on Market and Goose Creek Diner.
here is the review for Twig %26amp; Leaf from hotbytes.com
