It looks like the downtown Radisson is now ';Lexington Downtown Hotel %26amp; Conference Center'; and from what I hear it is new ownership, no longer part of the Radisson group though I don%26#39;t know what group it falls under.
Has anyone heard how this hotel is, in the last few months? It looks like it is still about $30 cheaper than the nearby Hyatt, and we have always preferred the Radisson anyway.
Radisson Under New Management
This has been a recent development. I believe the hotel is going to be re-branded with another nationally known company soon. There is also an extensive renovation planned, but I do not think it has started yet. The Hyatt has begun their renovation, but I am not sure if it has been completed. I know that some of the rooms have been done, but I have not stayed there recently. I would think that both would be comparable, but the Hyatt may have a slight edge if you got a newer room.

Until the Hyatt is done with renovations, I would say they are equal. I%26#39;ve stayed at both and there are not many differences. The Hyatt renovations are much needed, lets hope the rooms are nicer when its complete!
They ';Lexington Downtown Hotel %26amp; Conference Center'; will be a full service Hilton hotel when completed.
Trust me!
I stayed at the Lexington Downtown Hotel and Conference Center for the Sugarland Concert in Rupp 10/25/08. The only thing I payed for was the convience of walking over to Rupp Arena, a clean room and great bell hops. It was advertised that there was ';complimentary cable/ w premium channels. No such luck local channels only unless you wanted to pay an extra fee after having already paid 214.00 us dollars for the room? Not to even mention local calls had a charge also. Sleep number beds should have never had made it into a hotel, I have since heard if you own one it takes a week to find your comfort zone. Which I believe since there were four of us and we all woke with back pain. Front desk was not very helpful and you had to walk down three stories in the parking garage, unless you paid for valet parking, to get back to the long hallway that lead back into the hotel.
It is being renovated and will become a Hilton next summer.
